About Us

About Allie

I dislike writing “about me” sections. You're going to learn ALL about me via the barrage of blog posts that will be soon coming your way. Therefore, I am writing a “random facts & thoughts about me” section. Ready?

I lived in Guam for three years. Christmas should last year round, but snow should only come on Christmas morning or when I decide to go skiing.  I am a vegetarian.  I may be the most organized person you know - the amount of lists, calendars and planners I have is not okay. I have just completed my first marathon. My favorite city in the US is Austin; it should be yours too. The beach is my happy place. I play ultimate frisbee. I have one brother, he is younger and got married before me - I’ll forgive him since he brought me a wonderful sister-in-law. Green is my favorite color. I feel fortunate to love my job, as stressful as it can be sometimes. I have four tattoos. Road trips are the best way to get to know a person, and yourself. My friends and family are my life - you’ll meet them all in our posts eventually. I believe in fairytale romance.

That’s all you get- the rest you’ll have to piece together from our posts!

About Danielle

Things I like: adventures, checking things off lists, dimly lit bars with fireplaces or garden seating, hiking and exploring, learning about the world, animals of all shapes and sizes, running, US history, spending ridiculous amounts of time in coffee shops and bookstores, challenging myself, traveling, teaching myself how to cook (one YouTube video and Pinterest recipe at a time), waking up and finding out that I have time to go back to sleep for a little longer, small towns and big cities, Pixar movies, being outside whenever possible, writing in a fresh notebook with a sharp pencil, Christmas lights, reading (everything), laughing so hard it hurts.

Things I don’t like: spiders, self-doubt, hypocrites (who don’t admit that they’re hypocrites), tourists who don’t know how to walk, super spicy food, people who hold you back, horror movies, not knowing it’s the last Oreo until it's too late, living so far away from my family, temperatures under 45 degrees, needles (even though I have tattoos), wet feet, books with tragically ambiguous endings, saying “I can’t” and meaning “I don’t want to.”
